Upload and scan documents
Documents sit where they belong: on a customer, a document record or in the inbox. Issued invoices, quotes and delivery notes are filed by miphu itself.
On iPhone and iPad
- 01Tap the grid icon at the bottom, then Documents in the Files group. On the iPad, Documents is in the sidebar.
- 02Tap + and choose Scan, Photos or Files.
- 03To scan, photograph the pages with the document camera. miphu recognises the text on the device so that search can find it.
- 04Under Filed under, choose where the document belongs - for example Inbox or a customer - and give it a Title.
- 05Tap Upload, or Save for a scan.
On the Mac
- 01Choose Documents in the sidebar.
- 02Click + or drag files into the window. ⌘V pastes a copied file.
- 03On a customer, a document record or an article, file it right there with Choose file… in the Documents section.
- 04To scan paper on the Mac, use your iPhone: in the File menu, choose Import from iPhone or iPad.
Good to know
- Up to 100 MB per file: PDF, images, text files, Office documents, XML and emails. miphu does not accept web pages, scripts, archives, audio or video.
- Search in Documents finds titles, numbers and the recognised text in PDFs and scans.
- A document with a retention period cannot be deleted before the period ends. You see the period in the ⋯ menu under Retention and access…
- Deleted items stay in the Trash for 30 days and come back with Restore.
Common problems
- A document cannot be moved to the trash.
- It must be retained, carries a legal hold or is an issued document. miphu gives the reason on the greyed-out item.
- miphu says the storage is full.
- From 100 % miphu takes no new files; reading, sharing and exporting still work. The owner adds storage under Settings > Storage.
- I do not see Scan.
- The document camera is only there on devices with a camera.
