Share capital and owner deposits

Share capital, a capital contribution or money you pay in as the owner adds to the company’s funds but is neither revenue nor an expense. In miphu a deposit counts only in the financial forecast, through the balance you confirm.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. 01Open Insights and the Finance tab.
  2. 02In the Financial forecast card, tap Confirm balance.
  3. 03Under Current balance, enter the amount in the account after the deposit and tap Confirm.

On the Mac

  1. 01Open Insights and the Financial forecast.
  2. 02Click Confirm balance, enter the amount after the deposit under Current balance and click Confirm.

Good to know

  • Do not record the deposit as an invoice, a payment received or an expense, and not as a negative expense either. Otherwise it counts in the revenue, costs or surplus of Insights.
  • The deposit is booked in your bookkeeping, outside miphu.
  • You enter the balance yourself. miphu does not read a bank account.

Common problems

The deposit is missing from the financial forecast.
Confirm the balance again once the deposit is in the account. The forecast starts from the confirmed amount.
